We are currently in production of our new map system which will be a centralized place for tracking mountain lion, black bear, and wolf sightings in addition to our historical tracking of collared wolf movements.
While the new map is in production, the system will help us better log collared wolf movements from the CDFW wolf collar map. As part of our transition we will no longer be doing our daily updates for collar movements on the current map. Collared wolves will still be tracked daily but won’t be viewable to the public until the new map is released. In the meantime we will still be posting wolf sightings and other encounters for the public to review.
Until the new map is released, we recommend following the Facebook group Wolf Sightings, Interactions, Awareness & Depredation Reports (CA-So. OR-NV). As always, daily collared wolf movements and the most accurate updated locations can be found on the CDFW Collared Wolf Map.
