Wolf Map Updates

As of 8pm today there has still been no collar update for any of the currently working or displayed collars for 5/26/26. Sightings have been updated as per those posted on Facebook.

We are sorry for the delay in adding wolf sightings and depredations to the map. We currently have one volunteer who performs this duty and they are also working with our new computer and code specialist to update the public mapping experience. As of today Whaleback 1 collar still hasn’t been updated since April 13th. Whaleback 2 collar has been trailing updates by 24 hours.

As of 4/16/2026 the map has updated and is functioning properly. Harvey 2 and 4 have moved north west to near Whaleback and is sharing a hexagon with Whaleback 4.

We apologize, the map is having technical difficulties with adding more pins to the map. We will continue adding more pins as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

As of today all collars displayed on the map are showing correct dates with no lag time.

It would appear that Whaleback 1’s collar is either malfunctioning or the connection within the map system is malfunctioning. The collar had given updates up to 4/9/26 however it has now reverted back to displaying its last update as 4/5/26. All other collars displayed on the map are regularly updating.

For April 6th 2026 only the dispersers for Whaleback and Yowlumni and whaleback 2 have updated locations.

As of March 16th at 9:52 am there are still no updates for multiple wolves. Whaleback 2 had an update as of 3/15/26 around Tamarack Peak.
