Wolf Map Updates

As of March 15th at noon there has been no update for locations of collard wolves within California. All dates still represent movement from March 11th to March 14th.

As of this morning there appears to be an update in how the CDFW Collared Wolf Movement Map operates. When wolves consolidate into a single polygon due to overlapping now all wolves within the polygon are listed when picked. It will show for everyone in the combined polygon who’s position was updated last.

As of 5:22 p.m. Harvey 2 has re-entered California near Beaver mountain in modoc County

Whaleback has consolidated into whaleback 2 just Southeast of JF mountain. Trending towards Coyote point. Mater Harvey is still off the map, in Oregon per last update from cdfw

Whaleback is staying south east of J F Mountain Whaleback disperser 1 and 2 are moving north. Whaleback 2 is just south of Susanville

Whaleback has consolidated into whaleback 2 and is moving north east just past red rock lakes.

As of 10:25 am all of Whaleback appears to have consolidated polygons South East of Macdoel, CA. Yowlumni disperser has started moving North past Bakersfield Harvey pack is still off the map and likely still in Oregon

Harvey pack and dispersers are still off the map and have moved into Oregon per CDFW. Wolf sightings are temporarily off the map while we transition to an improved mapping system.
